Meet Your Guide... 

Native Spaniard, Puela Lunaris is a Music/Multimedia Producer, an Award-Winning Researcher, and a Flamenco Cultural Consultant.

In 2023, the Festival de Jerez invited Puela to produce the Experiencia Multisensorial Lola Flores, which exceeded all attendance expectations and generated enthusiastic response from international participants and press. She returns in 2026 in partnership with ExpoFlamenco to lead exclusive workshops.

A pioneer in composing original flamenco letras in English, Puela is known for her groundbreaking work as producer of the internationally distributed album Duende Flamenco (2006). She is also the producer of the Duende Flamenco Practice Music series—used worldwide by dancers, singers, and musicians to internalize rhythm, cante, guitar, and palmas. Her innovative approach bridges flamenco tradition with contemporary multilingual expression. 

Puela has guided over 1,000 students across 11 countries through her Lunaris Online Academy. As Founding Member of the New York Flamenco Festival's Educational Program, she served as Cultural Consultant and Teaching Artist for over a decade at New York City Center. She has also taught at distinguished institutions including The Juilliard School, Instituto Cervantes, City University of New York, The Performing Arts Network in Miami, and Centro Andaluz de Danza in Seville.

A member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), Puela has also served as Artistic Director, Curator, and Producer of the Legendary Gypsy Masters Anthology (11 albums, 23 palos), bringing comprehensive understanding of flamenco's diverse rhythmic and poetic structures—from the palos you'll explore in this workshop to the rarest forms of the art.

Always working on her profesional development, Puela has earned a Master's degree in Digital Media (New York University), a Bachelor's in Dance Pedagogy and Spanish Language/Culture (State University of New York), and is the recipient of the prestigious Williams & Humbert research award.

Puela’s teaching approach is known for its clarity, warmth, and ability to make complex flamenco structures accessible to artists and aficionados worldwide.
